Asad is a London-based Director at Yendall Hunter and an experienced quantum expert with a background in quantity surveying, procurement and project strategy. He provides independent opinion on quantum, delay and disruption issues across arbitration, litigation and other dispute resolution forums. He has been appointed as an expert in a TCC matter, has received multiple expert appointments in adjudication, and has given evidence in mediation.
Over the past decade, Asad has acted for contractors, consultants and employers on more than 40 major projects across 13 countries. His experience includes high-value projects (up to £4bn) spanning prime residential and commercial development, life sciences and healthcare, hospitality and leisure, data centres and technology, mining and natural resources, renewables and power, and capital infrastructure.
He is recognised for his analytical rigour in valuing complex claims and for managing data-intensive, multidisciplinary matters under demanding timetables. He communicates his findings clearly to assist tribunals and decision-makers in reaching well-reasoned decisions in high-stakes disputes. He also advises on distressed projects, supporting stakeholders with commercial strategy and claim development.
Before joining Yendall Hunter, Asad was a Director in Secretariat. Earlier in his career, he worked as a project quantity surveyor on UK infrastructure projects for a leading quantity surveying practice.
Asad has been recommended by Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) as an expert since 2023, which notes: “At his rate of professional growth, he will soon be a pre-eminent leader in the field.” Counsel has described his work as “absolutely first class”, citing his “exceptional ability in terms of the work produced” and “the speed at which he was able to assimilate vast amounts of complex information… was reflected in the excellent end product.”
He is a published author (Construction Law Journal - "BIM, ECI, collaborative working and joint risk management – pieces of a jigsaw?”, CL Vol 29 No.10, and RICS Modus - "Building Your EOT Claim") and regularly delivers training to law firms and clients.
